Here it was important for us to keep the height of the flange as low as possible to improve CIP cleanability of the cover. When the cover is closed the toggle bolts are positioned in the slots and screwed down with the plastic star handles with knurled washer. The knurled washer serves to reduce friction and thus "galling". However the design of this version requires a large welding diameter in relation to the access opening.
