GEA AWP stop check valves are automatically activated locking units. They are opened by the pressure exerted by the working medium upon the valve plate. As soon as the flow is interrupted or the flow direction is reversed, the valve locks automatically. It can also be locked manually with the rising stem by using the handwheel. The built-in damping device makes this type of valve especially suitable in cases where the power requirement varies significantly. GEA AWP stop check valves are suitable for installation in the refrigerant cycles of industrial refrigeration systems. They are installed on the pressure or suction side of compressors, or in pipes in which only one direction of flow is permitted. GEA AWP stop check valves are maintenance-free. Any defects that occur in the functional performance of the valves can be repaired.

  • Selection of body material as per German DIN EN12284, AD2000 Series W
  • Working media: glycol-based cold brine refrigerant EN 378 p. 1, e. g. NH3, R22, R134a and blends with refrigerator oil, neutral, gas and liquid media, glycol-based cold brine
  • Mounting position: horizontal, and vertical for upward flow direction
