GEFA Processtechnik GmbH Dortmund is a special manufacturer in the range of industrial valves and fittings, filtration technology as well as measuring and control technology. The enterprise was founded in 1964 as one of the first to manufacture three-piece ball valves, centric soft-seated and pneumatic piston actuators. In the field of filtration technology GEFA launched an innovative product range on the German market.

Conpany history

Since 1992 the company is certified according to EN ISO 9001 and offers products of superior reliability and safety. We also offer a product range for specific applications. Our large-scale storage system guarantees short delivery times.
The company was established as a dependent trading company of Gustaf Fagerberg AB, Gothenburg. Only one year later, the transformation into "GEFA Industriearmaturen GmbH" – today's "GEFA Processtechnik GmbH" – was completed.

Since the beginning the valve technology (e.g. butterfly valves and ball valves) is the company’s core business. Over the years, the commercial products have given way to our own products which have been influenced by customer requirements and our product experience.

We have been producing the EPDM-lined standard valves as well as the PTFE-lined valves for 30 years now. The last few years have seen the addition of in-house manufacturing of ball valves (flanged and 3-piece ball valves), high performance butterfly valves, knife gate valves and check valves. This is the result of ongoing improvement, so that our product range is constantly increasing. The portfolio of own products is complemented by trading goods. Here we would like to point out especially our control valves, double-diaphragm pumps as well as the rupture discs. Our valves are in use in almost all industries; starting from the chemical industry to the food industry and the petrochemical industry.

In the course of the company’s development, our product range has been expanded by another main pillar – Filter Technology. We do offer innovative and specialized products for the use in the diverse application range of water supply and distribution as well as general industry.

With a filtration spectrum from 2µm to 800µm our self-cleaning Filtomat- Filters offer a wide area of application. For example in the food and paper industry, drinking and waste water industry, in the filtration of soak away water, surface and process water or swimming pool water.

The ideal complements for the Filtomat-program are further filtration systems such as drum filters, fine rotary screens, curved screens, spiral screens. It goes without saying that on customer request we are happy to offer complete solutions in the field of liquid filtration.

Our product portfolio is rounded off by measuring and control technology. Here we market regulating components, control elements and complete control system technology.
